CRANBERRY MULE

(Party Batch, Makes 8)

INGREDIENTS

 

For the Whole-Berry Cranberry Simple Syrup
1/2 cup Shoogies Cane Sugar (9 Packets)

8 ounces frozen cranberries (2 cups)
1 tablespoon grated lime zest

For the Cocktail
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice, plus 3 thinly sliced lime rounds, for garnish
 4 ounces ginger beer (1/2 cup), chilled

Make the Whole-Berry Cranberry Simple Syrup

  1. Stir together Shoogies, cranberries, lime zest and 2 tbsp water in a small saucepan

  2. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until cranberries just start to burst, about 5 minutes

  3. Remove from heat; let cool completely

  4. Refrigerate covered until cold, at least 1 hour, up to 1 week

 

Make the Cocktail

  1. Fill a 12-ounce glass with ice cubes

  2. Stir in lime juice, ginger beer, and 3 tbsp cranberries and syrup from Cranberry Simple Syrup

  3. Garnish with lime rounds
